I’ve tried alot of things for jello shots and these worked the best so far. they’re easy to get almost all the jello out and fun to use!! oh and they were really easy to clean, they were bigger then i expected as well so that was a plus.

From one “crafty” person to another, here are a bunch of ideas to undertake out while you’re crafting or sewing to make your life a bit easier, and to save a bit of cash and time in the process.

1. Use inexpensive index cards to staple on fabric swatches or ribbon; very handy to take with you to your fabric or craft shop.

2. Old pillowcases make handy cover-ups for children! Cut out a huge hole for the head and two littler holes for the arms and just slip over their heads. They may even decorate them with tie-dye, fabric paint or iron-ons.

3. If you use rubber stamps for your projects, clean them with a mild detergent after each use, making sure you keep the wood constituents dry. Use a paper towel to arid the stamp and then store them with the stamp side down, away from direct sunlight.

4. Large bottle caps make handy disposable containers for paints or glue.

5. Use a toothpick to implement glue to a little part; less “glue-y” fingers!

6. A damp Q-tip may pick up little items such as seed beads or rhinestones.

7. Keep a magnet handy in case you drop needles or pins on the floor.

8. A coffee may is outstanding for storing balls of yarn when crocheting or knitting. Simply punch a hole in the coffee may lid and poke the yarn up through and out; then close the lid.

9. Use cardboard emery boards as sandpaper for little elements or areas where regular sanders or files will not reach.

10. Shred your leftover wrapping paper to make beauteous “stuffing” for gift baskets and bags.

11. Use your lint roller around your sewing table to pick up bits of thread.

12. Don’t toss out that old plastic tablecloth when you buy a new one. Use the old one as a table protector when crafting.

13. For larger projects, use an old plastic shower curtain as a drop cloth or cut it into littler table protectors.

14. Tweezers make great holders for those little constituents you’re attempting to glue or paint. Less glue and paint on fingers.

15. Lubricate the tip of your needle before sewing by pushing it into a sliver of soap.

16. Keep a roll of paper towels on your worktable to clean up spills, wipe your hands and even to use for creating texture in your paintings.

17. Use an old coffee may sitting in a pot or pan of hot water on the burner to melt leftover pieces of candles. Make sure you handle the hot coffee may with oven mitts. Add an old candle, the long, tapered kind, to a cardboard milk carton. Add ice and then the melted wax. After the candle is set, tear away the carton over your sink to drain the water and you’ll have a distinctive “Swiss cheese” candle to use. You may toss out the coffee may after it is use. No worrying with regards to cleaning a pot with wax residue.

18. Use an old (or new!) fishing case, with all it is a good deal of compartments, for your little craft parts.

19. Hate throwing away the last sliver of soap? Break it up into pieces and place in a rubber baking mold. Melt more soap, either left over or purchased inexpensive soap, cool somewhat so it won’t melt your soap bits and pour into mold, let harden and pop your new soap out of the mold!

20. Tape a little plastic grocery bag or a little paper bag to your sewing table so it hangs over the side. Handy for tossing out bits of cut thread and fabric scraps.

21. A little metal constituents cabinet (the kind for bolts, nails and screws, etc.) is great for storing little crafts elements and sewing items. I even have two of them housing all my earrings and necklaces – one or more drawers for each color!

Very nice, but….

The items are as they appear on site and seem a very good quality. BUT, they are NOT red. Like the photo shows, they are a milk chocolate. I am used to site photos sometimes being off color, so went by the description. The matching trivet I bought from the same retailer, also called red, is a perfect match. At least they are consistent. I bought this as a gift and have learned that my niece has earth-tone serving pieces, so will still be giving it to her, but wanted to warn other shoppers of the discrepancy.

My Office Teapot

I recieved my teapot with cups last week and decided to keep them in my office. This was a great Ideal and have got great comments on my little teapot. I looks good, and I keep tea in it all day long. The cast iron does not keep it warm long but I still drink it cold, just relaxing at the office. My new saying in the office is “bring it on”…

I am getting a cast iron warmer for the office. I am looking at ordering another teapot for home.

The price is right.

You may save a ton of cash and get something habit made that looks fantastic and in truth professional. I will show you how easy it is to make a fabric covered pelmet to fit over your curtains. Your friends and family will not believe you made it yourself.

Tools you will need to make your pelmet

1. Staple gun

2. scissors

3. tape measure

4. Wood saw

5. Long straight edge (marking lines on fabric)

I suspect most humans will have a few of these already. If you are missing any before you run off and buy them ask a friend or neighbor. The next thing is the stuff to make it out of.

Materials to make your pelmet

1. 1/4 inch plywood (sheet of)

2. 1/4 inch staples for your staple gun

3. Curtain lining fabric for the back

4. Curtain fabric of your choice for front of pelmet

5. 8oz sheet fiber wadding (Gives pelmet softer look)

6. Velcro tape (both sides soft and hard)

7. A4 sheets of thin cardboard (very thick paper will do)

8. Can of spray glue (stuff you stick carpets down with)

9. Almost forgot a timber board 6 inches X 1 inches and as long as your pelmet.

I hope you agree with me not an overpowering list of highpriced items on either of the above lists. So the next step in our little project is the making part. Don’t panic I will keep it in truth simple.

Putting your new pelmet together

1. Decide how wide and how deep you want your pelmet to be. Then get the local timber merchandiser to cut your 1/4 inch plywood board to right size. The sheets normally come in 4ft X 8ft sheets, so if your pelmet is going to be 6ft wide by 12 inches deep. Then get the board cut to this size and also get to extra pieces cut for the sides (the returns). They need to be 12 inches deep again and 6 inches wide.

2. Now you join the return bits to each end. I use scrap fabric and lay it all over both pieces and staple it down to manufacture a hinge. Do this for both ends of the long board.

3. cut your fiber wadding sheet to the size of your pelmet board including the end returns. Then spray the glue onto the board (the side without the fabric hinges showing). Then place on sheet wadding and press down.

4. Next step is to cover the board with fiber wadding attached. You need to cut your fabric 4 inches wider and longer than your board with return bits (use you straight edge to mark pencil lines). Then lay fabric face down onto the your table. Now lay your pelmet board wadding side down onto your curtain fabric leaving 2 inches showing all the way around. Now using your staple give fold over the fabric and staple down all the way round Pulling fabric underneath a little tension as you go.

5. The next step is to cover the back of you pelmet in curtain lining fabric to make it all neat. Again your curtain lining needs to be 4 inches wider and longer than the pelmet board. Now you need to cut your thin card into strips 2 inches wide and fold in half making them 1 inch wide.

Now have you pelmet face down on the table with the back facing up. Then place your lining fabric so it overlaps the bottom of your pelmet by 2 inches. Next place the card board strip along the edge of the lining fabric. You need to open the strips a little and staple down in place. Then you now fold over the lining fabric up the back of the pelmet. The card board strips underneath the lining fabric give a nice sharp edge to the bottom of the lining fabric while keeping it in place at the same time.

Next step is to fold in the ends of the curtain lining so they finish just at the ends of the pelmet board. Just fold in and press down with you hand for now. Now for the top of the pelmet you need to trim the lining fabric so it finishes a 1/4 inch down from the top. Then take your soft strip of Velcro tape and staple down at the very top of your new pelmet. This locks in the lining fabric at the same time.

6. Now your pelmet is finished except for the top board to stick it to. This is a simple timber board 6 inches X 1 inch by as long as you pelmet. You need to now staple the hard strip of Velcro onto the 1 inch edge including around the ends of the board.

Putting it together is simple fit your top board over your window on shelf brackets with the Velcro facing out. Then present the soft Velcro on the back of your new pelmet to the hard Velcro on the top board and press. That’s it All made and fitted told you it was simple. So take your time and take pleasure in making something in truth special.

This is not like the tough, sturdy ones I remember when I was growing up

I’m giving this a 3 because I love Wonderwoman and I am happy to have a lunchpail that is somewhat functionial. However, the metal used for this pail is of the cheapest quality ever. It is very thin, it damages easily, and frankly I was expecting the tough, sturdy tin lunchpails that we used to have as kids…I guess those are the real collectibles. If probably would not recommend this to a friend unless they just felt like they had to have a Wonderwoman lunchpail to put on the whatknot shelf….
